But Karim, beyond the challenge of getting into the World Cup, with permission from the World Champions, has more fights before. Yesterday he was training thinking about today's friendly against Germany, but does not forget that Real Madrid has a long road ahead.

First of all, the striker refers to the last loss against Granada. "We know we can do better. We are all disappointed by the defeat and sorry for the fans. We want to change that because we know that in the league, although it is very difficult, we have to fight to the end ".

Benzema does not talk about what happens at the locker room but has now more than clear that they have to paddle all in the same direction: "We have to be united. We all have the same goal and we will not give up. It is a long road ahead, we all want to win trophies this season and we know we can go far. We have the Champions League that is a special competition for all, for the club and for the fans but also for us, and the Spanish Cup tie with Barcelona is still open," former Lyon striker warns .

And he shows that in his the fourth season as Real Madrid player, knows the philosophy of the club: "You never know what can happen but we are Real Madrid and only the win is a target. I know no one on this team who will give up."

Benzema is focused today on the French national team. Didier Deschamps trust him. For now, the captain bracelet is for Hugo Lloris, but the player would take it proudly in the future: "Why not? If sometime there is that possibility, I will take it" he said on his arrival in Paris on Sunday.

The France coach thinks about Benzema as center striker or as Giroud's partner. Deschamps has given him full freedom to search spaces behind the front and take advantage of the midfielder's passes. Now he looks at the friendly against Germany, a team that inspires him respect: "It will be a great game. We face one of the strongest teams in the world. They have great quality and have always been fighting for the titles, which means a lot. We will have to make a great game to take the win."
